Hostages were taken at the Coral Gables Bank of America in Florida. There’s an investigation to the kidnapping that preceded this hostage scenario. Before noon local time, all the hostages were out of the structure. Police confirmed the hostage situation was over.

Thurs evening, there was a kidnapping linked to the Coral Gables Bank of America heist. The kidnapper forced the individual to strap a bomb to himself and go into Coral Gables Bank of America. The response to the hostage scenario began at 8 in the morning. The transportation infrastructure around the Coral Gables Bank of America was shut down, as were the schools right across the street from the bank.
Miami hostage kidnapped Thurs evening
There was a home attack within the Miami Nob Hill apartments Thursday. This home attack may have been a kidnapping, and has been associated with the bank robbery. The perpetrators are nevertheless at-large. Police have asked residents to keep an eye out for a red Mustang with two individuals driving it. It was a Coral Gables Bank of America employee that was strapped to the explosive device. Nobody is certain yet if those responsible for this crime really entered the bank. There is no word yet if the crime at the Coral Gables Bank of America was a bank robbery. It is possible the bomb and Miami hostage scenario were intended to create a distraction.
There is full confirmation from Coral Gables Bank and the FBI that hostages were kept within the financial institution during the morning. The last hostage left Coral Gables Bank relatively quickly. By 11:20 a.m., everybody had exited the structure. However, FBI and police confirm the bomb squad is still on the scene. While the explosive device was diffused, officials stayed on the scene — though hostages were taken for medical treatment. Until the Miami hostage situation is clear, all schools and businesses around Coral Gables Bank remain locked down.
